Expressive Art at an International School

Weekly elective art therapy group classes for grades 1-6, with 10 students per group.

Project: Take What You Need
Age Level: Gr. 2 and Gr. 3 students
Students thought up uplifting statements to share with the school community. Together they created a tapestry of sticky notes for anyone to take away before holiday break.

Short-term small group art therapy (3-5 students) for students on the autistic spectrum and/or managing learning disabilities.

Expressive Art Workshops at a private school

Professional development workshop for school staff. Activities included warm up exercises, individual artwork, and shared art making in small groups, all with a focus on interpersonal relationships and team building.

Project: Ready To Soar
Age Level: Grade 5 and 6 graduating classes at a private school, virtual class

This graduating project came together first via zoom class, and then later as assembled by the art therapist. At graduation students were given the opportunity to pose with these life-sized wings, which represented both their own flight into middle school as well as the support of those around them.
